Happy New Years Fellow Railroaders,

I have a question about subway cars maybe someone might be able to help me. Does anyone know if there is a after market product or kits to install subway doors so they can open remotely?

If I'm correct I think there is at least one company that sold a set or use too. The way I see this situation if the set that has the soundtrack of the opening of the doors, but they really don't shouldn't be there to begin with.

If the motor person says the next stop will be Yankee Stadium depending on the direction the train is coming from then the person will announce which direction the doors will open remotely.

It's one thing to make the doors open remotely, but if you include people coming in and out of the cars then you have opened a new can of worms. I hope someone out there might be able to help me with my situation.

Sincerely

Allan M.

What is your situation?

Do you actually have a subway set in hand and you now want to motorize the doors?

You comment about sounds that match door action (or inaction).  Are you additionally suggesting this aftermarket kit lets you customize/load sounds and synchronize actions to match (e.g., left/right doors open match station/direction) a specific subway line you are modeling?

I assume you've taken a look at some of the Lionel subway videos on youtube (go to youtube and search on, say, Lionel subway doors).
