How to test Lionel Backshop with Transformer only???

Good day Everyone!

I received my very own Lionel Backshop via Fed Ex yesterday.

I would like to test it out to make sure it works properly,but I don't have a TMCC or Legacy system.

Is there a way I can test it out conventionally for now?

I opened it up yesterday,and all looks well with it,but I know these are notorious for blowing up boards,and I do not want to ruin it,before I purchase a TMCC Controller and receiver to operate it properly.

Any one have any advice on how to check it out without frying the boards?-Kenny Baughman

Did yours come with instructions? You can hook it up conventionally.
