Just curious if any of our members have any Howard or Knapp trains in their collection. These two manufacturers were active in the first two decades of the last century. The Howard Miniature Electric Lamp Co. of New York City initially made trolleys and later trains. Howard is generally believed to have developed the first operating electric headlight on a toy loco. The trains of both companies ran on 2" gauge rails.

Perhaps our own very knowledgeable collectors like Arne, Carey Williams or Jim Kelly-Evans can provide some examples of products from these relatively short lived and lessor known pioneering manufacturers of toy trains.
THANK YOU in advance!
Hello all
Here are a few examples of Howard and Knapp in motion
That is all I could find on my YouTube channel,...if you go to face book ...search Tinplate times ......look under videos or photos ...you'll find a bunch more info about Howard and Knapp,....it is a bit thin on the ground ....but if you look under enough rocks you can find it .
