Not sure what you are asking....?? This forum covers all years of production in one way or another. What questions do you have about the modern production? You may want to try our search function which is located in the blue highlighted line just below the banner ads....

mrvinny,
Are you asking if there is a Web site for modern engines that gives similar information as the one in your topic name http://www.postwarlionel.com/steam.html does for post war?
yes mark. that's what i'm looking for.
I am not aware of a page like that, but hopefully someone else will know.
From what I've seen, the Tandem Associates page and the PostwarLionel page are the only ones of their kind. Nothing similar for prewar/modern. I prefer the Tandem page, better look, more info, and all postwar items feature, whereas there are some missing at PostwarLionel.
I am working on one, not just locos but all 3 rail covering Lionel, MTH, Weaver, Williams and Atlas. We will be looking for contributors once we have the upgrades in place.
Trainz.com (big auction dealer in Atlanta) created a guide to MPC-era steam that's somewhat similar:
http://www.trainz.com/t-lionel-mpc-era-engines.aspx
I grew up during this era so reading it brings back a lot of fond memories! They published some other articles, too:

A lot of product passes through their hands, so they are in a good position to comment on rarity, variations, operating characteristics, etc. Hope this is what you were looking for. -Ted
The Train Station also has some informational pages. Some of those pages contain information about some rather unusual items. While the title of their library section says "Postwar", modern era stuff is included too.
Do you mean this engine?
It is recent production. Shown in the 2007 catalog.
From Lionel's site:
thx.
