Trinkle SD40-T2 Trains managed to pull off a full 4 unit lash up of Grande power!
Tim ran his beautiful Sunset NP Yellowstone.

Those Rio Grande locomotives look great, the number cars after them seem to go on forever, like a real train.
Who doesn't like warbonnets.
Thanks!

Nice videos and motive power. The Oriental Limited SD's run very smoothly and run just as well as the late model Overland's if not better. Thanks for posting!
Nice videos. That layout looks like it's going to be huge.
Erik,
WOW! Thanks for sharing the pictures and videos! Impressive!
The models and photography are superb. One question: has the owner of those passenger cars increased the car-to-car spacing? Does he or she have a home layout with 48" radius curves?
my stock PSC cars with Kadees in the original mounts have about half that spacing.
I love the D&RGW so I like!!!!! Fantastic units!
But I think it's a Multiple Unit diesel set (M/U'ed) as I see no rope for a 'lash-up'!!!
Wow that Rio Grande coal train is amazing.....thanks for sharing these Eric!

If Rich Melvin says its a MU Consist then so be it. I have no clue who NERR engineer X is.
I really don't care what you want to call it.....I knew somewhere Rich was gritting his teeth......
Do note it's slang....maybe part of Rich's dislike of it as a wordsmith.

You mean, like a....................................tunnel?
I actually had one of those tunnels 50 years ago.....
Are those 2 rail?
Yes they are 2 rail. The track is wired to run either 2 or 3 rail.
Beautiful trains!
So glad to see they are 2-rail.
3-rail looks weird.
Erik, I'm not sure but I think I got a MTH U30C engine from ebay that may have come from Trinkle's trains that you post about?
I didn't know how to thank him and just wanted to say that. Maybe it was someone else with a similar name? I don't think ebay allows contact without a problem.
The engine arrived in great condition and runs well. I see a lot more for sale but I'm tapped.
Eric, the Grande power video really triggered a strong memory. My wife and I were staying at a B&B in Buena Vista on the main drag. less than a qtr mile down the street was the Rio Grande crossing. I heard and felt a deep rumbling, turned around and 4 of these monsters went by at probably 50 mph with a coal drag that seemed to go on forever.
thanks,
Ron
