Very nice
Most impressive!
Very nice layout. People in NC are lucky to be able to see this O-gauge train display and Lionel HQ to visit.
Thanks for posting, Dorcie.
Faaantastic!!! Thanks so much for the great video and narration, very well done! A pleasure. I am making plans to make the trek from Hotlanta to Charlotte - I lived in the area about 25 years ago - its a nice city, I am sure its changed and grown since my last visit.
You have to love the vision of the building owners to do this in the lobby. Seems like a super location too, many interesting links to the building.
Very nice layout. The exhibit will draw 1000's.
Extremely nice layout! It's pretty cool to see a little of what goes on behind the scenes at Trainworx. Thanks for sharing.
You're right Darci! It IS a "magical" layout and brings out the kid in us! Love the overall effect and really like the snow-kissed evergreen trees. Wonderful!
Free round of hot chocolate to all involved!

So cool! Check it out... there will be a model of this building on the layout - yee haw
I hear ya.... post to TALL BUILDING TUESDAY - I will
Dorcie, do you know the hours of operation when the layout can be visited? Or who to contact? I have not been able to find out.
I will be in South Carolina, for Thanksgiving, and can make the drive to Charlotte. Many years ago, I lived just south of Charlotte, and did my MS degree at UNC-Charlotte.

It is set up in the lobby of 300 South Tryon and open to the public. I believe the hours are 9-9 but not positive.
Opening Thanksgiving Day
Traingineers completed the installation of the 300 Express Holiday Layout and will be reading to roll Thanksgiving Day in Uptown Charlotte inside the lobby of 300 South Tryon Skyscraper!

Nice job on the "frozen" rivers and streams. They look great.
One word... WOW!
I made it to Charlotte on Friday to see the layout: very nice! The trains were running on a timer, lots of varying action.
Any chance there is a live webcam to view?
Truly a great layout.
