You'll have to forgive me for the title, but I think this is too cool not to show you guys. One of the first folks to order our D-145 dealer poster was Capt. John here on the forum. One of the items that we include with each poster is PDF instructions on how to create a frame to match how Lionel originally framed these. John was the first one to finish his frame and sent me the photo last night. I have studied an original D-145 and John has it about as close as you can get to an original Lionel poster. Just wanted to show off John's hard work. If you'd like to order a poster, please visit our website by clicking the link ORDER YOUR OWN LIONEL D-145 POSTER

Wish I had a place for one of these. I'll have to wait for some less large.
Very nice; perfect fit.

Come on Marty - there's no ONE stopping you from putting the sign where ever you want to, right?

The nice thing about this is Captain John is a New England guy so we will get to see it the next time we visit his super layout.

I think you should push for the full size decal version; it would look great on the side of your 50' TV production trailers.
Who is Capt. John? Another one that doesn't use his Name.
Eddie:
He is a regular contributor on this Forum. His name is "John" and he is a ferry boat Captain.
I am surprised that you have not met him. He goes to York regularly.
That looks great.

What a great poster! Boy, do I wish I had some wall space available. As it is I don't have one inch of space left but I am wracking my brain to figure out a way to justify getting one of these.
Derek...and John!!
That is one sweeeeet poster!! Beautiful poster and a beautiful presentation John!

Great job John. It looks super up there. I hope you were listening to some great 50's music when you put it together, because that is certainly a 50's item.

Link to the .pdf on framing, please? Any idea what the approximate cost was or did John homebrew his frame? Thanks!
Landstiner,
I've attached the PDF to this post so you can view it. I would not be able to tell you the cost on the frame. John would have to tell you what he spent. I've looked into having them custom built to our specifications and the cost was around $150.
