I have a gripe with Menards

Quit complaining and add a level....lol

Dave, do what Bob does! If you look close at his pictures of new items with old ones you can see the seam in the grass! He does a great job at adding space, but you can see the different grass pattern! LOL

The other idea would be to just knock a wall out! Then you have more room for Menards and Trains!

Ha ha.. "urban renewal". I like that phrase.  I just did the same thing to make room for the Pepsi plant.  Problem is I never like removing a building so I relocate them.  Now I have urban sprawl  BigRail

Seems to me this constant release of new buildings which results in the need for more layout space in which to place them is nothing more than a clever marketing tool.  After all; Menards does sell the building materials necessary to expand a train layout.  😉

Yes, Bob seems he never runs out of room it must be bigger then it looks in pictures, lol. 

I like your idea of knocking out a wall but if I'd that I'll be outside. 

I never remove any building, they just move to a new a new zip code within my layout.

that was not a complaint!!!

Look at it as job security for the o gauge construction workers.... all you have to do is start a construction company on the layout give them a few Menards box trucks Jack the German Shepherd some guys at work overtime all night long.

If this keeps up I envision a layout 125ft by 50! Then of course I'll have to add more room just for trees and box truck parking! I see beautiful mornings, waking up, a nice stretch, a cup of coffee, then leaving the tent for a walk to the house to run trains! LOL

That's not a gripe.

My gripe is their quality control on cars. And their stupid rebate system and...

Yeah, and after seeing the really cool mods a OGR poster made to his Menard's Starbuck's model, I of course had to order one.  Don't know why, don't even have a spot for it as my layout is set in 1958.  Maybe I could do a Back to the Future tie in.  Anybody got a DeLorean for sale?

You know Dave, I have been thinking, you might want to buy stock in Menards. That way you can get some of your money back from buyi g buildings and lumber to expand your house!

Dave, you know we discussed this. And from pictures you’ve posted it doesn’t look like you implemented my recommendations. 

Get rid of that desk in the corner and fill in the space. And all that wasted living room space is screaming for some trains and scenery. It’ll be easy with a little more Mianne bench work. 

Now get busy!
