WOW. First time I've seen this; this year. Just like fruit cake it just keeps coming back.
Eddie,
you're right, I haven't seen this one before. Thanks for posting!
Eddie
ps. Hope to see you at the Big E, after all, two 'eds are better than one!
I have been following this awesome train display for around 10 years. I found it by chance as I was doing search for my own web site. And I have been amazed by it ever since.
Here is a link to a piece that was done by a TV station on the display. It is about 45 minutes long and it has many behind, under and below scenes of this display. Even though it is all in German it is a treat to watch them work on it and how they run this massive display. Most of it is of the construction of the airport but it shows every aspect that goes into this display.

I am hoping to pay a visit to it one day. Enjoy
It is amazing. The work and tech that goes into this display is top notch and cutting edge. I did see one idea in this video that I could use and it would be relatively inexpensive - the use of rope lighting under the benchwork. These can often be picked up on sale after Christmas.
I was there in October 2011 and the airport was finished and in operation. The entire layout is massive, I spent 5 hours there and only got an overview. There are hundreds of vignettes to discover. Nothing else like it anywhere.

I always enjoy watching it.
It is incredible, isn't it. I saw this for the first time last year, and it answered a question I had always had - certaintly someone must model airports?
I am always in awe of the work and creativity people cna put into model trains (and airports) - this is one of the very best . . .
I was surprised that they now have 270 employees, they have taken this hobby to new heights.
