I have been following this awesome train display for around 10 years. I found it by chance as I was doing search for my own web site. And I have been amazed by it ever since.

Here is a link to a piece that was done by a TV station on the display. It is about 45 minutes long and it has many behind, under and below scenes of this display. Even though it is all in German it is a treat to watch them work on it and how they run this massive display. Most of it is of the construction of the airport but it shows every aspect that goes into this display.

And here is another link to a piece that is 30 min. long with many more of the different scenes that are in the display set just to music.

I am hoping to pay a visit to it one day.  Enjoy

It is amazing.  The work and tech that goes into this display is top notch and cutting edge.  I did see one idea in this video that I could use and it would be relatively inexpensive - the use of rope lighting under the benchwork.  These can often be picked up on sale after Christmas.

I was there in October 2011 and the airport was finished and in operation.  The entire layout is massive, I spent 5 hours there and only got an overview.  There are hundreds of vignettes to discover.  Nothing else like it anywhere.
