Having a little test device would be great to have.
I've seek previous threads with rollers from Micromark or J-Mak. If you fabbed up your own base, shoot a pic and post it up!

I have a set of JAK rollers. Using those for the drivers to sit on, I made my own test stand. It has a sliding rail section to handle any locomotive I own. Banana jacks were used for plug and play with test leads. Meters were installed and connected to the banana jacks. One set to the rail and two pair of jacks and one set to one pair of jacks. I also have an operating track section wired in that hangs from the back, when not in use.
The photos below show a Lionel transformer, but I use a MTH Z-1000 with this test stand.
