Need some help here.  At one time there was some discussion on some early MTH engines that had an easter egg hidden in their sound files.  Under certain circumstances, the crew take would be heard saying "I think I can".  Does any know about this?  What engines have this "feature"?    Is there a you tube video of this?

Yes, it's true, and we've got video to prove it. The scene was shot many years ago, but we still have the old 1-inch tape master here...somewhere. I will try to find it and post it.

This was in a QSI-based PS1 MTH steam locomotive. Instead of chuffing, the engine said, "I think I can" in step with the drivers.

I can see the lights dimming in Poland, OH when you fire up that 1" machine!  lol

I am not sure if this is related to what you are talking about, but some years ago I ordered a newly cataloged Railking VO1000 through a local train shop and before I took it home I asked the dealer to test it for me new out of the box.   Shortly after the engine sounds started you could here a dog barking loudly and in a frenzy over the sound the Baldwin engine was making.  While the dealer and I both thought it was humorous I also hoped it was a random effect that I wouldn't have to hear every time I started the engine.

I have NEVER heard it again!

From my QSI 2 plus manual

Feature #37.. The "I think I can" can be found in small steam engines using QS2-300 , 301  or QS2.306 sound set only. It is turned on using your transformer and horn button,

The factory default setting is "enabled"

Now  the question is ... can feature 37 be enabled with proto-1,,,, ????

I have heard the dog barking on several MTH locomotives when you use the extended shutdown sequence.  It may be in the extended startup sequence as well.  FWIW, the PS/2 VO1000 is one that has that sound set.
