Here is a link to an article about a new passenger train to run between CUS and St. Paul.

Amtrak Borealis makes debut (msn.com)

***You may already know how newsfeed pages, such as MSN, can be bloated with gunk surrounding the article, but the article is written by a railroad writer I have always enjoyed, Steve Glischinski.

Be fun to take a ride on this train. The cars are different from anything else in use in the midwest, and the route has some very scenic stretches along the Mississippi. 444 minutes - not quite as fast as the old CNW 400 or Milwaukee Road Twin Cities Hiawatha or Burlington Zephyr, but still pretty good in this age of freight railroad control.
