Hi

Thanks for the replies.

Dear TRW

More or less this what I am looking for the following:

Did Lionel ever make a MP15 in the modern era? I know K-Line did.

I am also looking for NW2 from the modern era from Lionel.

What other small switcher did Lionel make in the modern era.

My definition of the modern is with TMCC and later versions. Is there a coding scheme that Lionel used that I might be able to use in searches?

What I am trying to do is build a semi scratch built NYC MTA diesel work train. I have a list of what the MTA used in the past and what they have now in the fleet. I have also been to the subway museum in Brooklyn and saw some of the equipment that they have used. Some of the equipment was specifically designed for them and other were off the shelf equipment that they had converted to work trains. If I could take an existing Lionel small switcher paint it and fix it up to look like a work train that would be great.

No MP-15 from Lionel.

They've made a bunch, and you can take your pick: Sheet metal or die-cast frames, Pullmor or can motors, conventional, TMCC or LionChief+, etc.

There is a scale Alco S2/S4 that was produced starting in the early 2000's. It's been available with both TMCC and Legacy.

Unfortunately, any coding scheme buried in the item numbers was abandoned years ago.

I hope this helps. Good luck with your project.
