Hey guys,

I've been thinking about rebuilding my layout (again). There's a lot of things I'm not happy with on my current layout and decided I'd start planning for a new one.

What I'm wanting is a 4x8 with a yard extension. Nothing too big since it would have to be moved when I get older.

I'd like it to have:
-2 loops (can be connected or not)
-Something other than a simple loop. Hopefully some kind of variation in the way the track goes around the layout.
-O27 track, or O42 curves with the traditional O27 style track.
-O27 switches
-Room for a town and roads
-Room for a medium-sized station

I'm open to any ideas you guys might have.

Also, I do not have RR track software.

Thanks everyone for your help!

Here's an O27 version modified to fit on a 4'x 8' table. I added a couple switches so the trains can reverse from either direction. I suggest you get track planning software to work out details - this version here would need a few pieces cut to length. AnyRail and Scarm have free track planning software.
