I need to build several vehicle crossings on my layout. The track is Gargraves 3-rail. I know that Woodland Scenics has a kit available for a vehicle crossing but one post I read indicated that using it required a fair amount of work to install. Do any of you have other techniques that you have successfully used for this? Thanks, Paul

I don't know if you are looking for asphalt or wood crossings, but you might want to check out Eric Trains on youtube (He is also a forum sponsor). He had a pretty good method for asphalt crossings and I think he did a video on it.
Mount strips of wood between the rails. Just make sure there is clearance for the wheels along the outer rails. Taper the ends of the wood in case you have any cars with pickup shoes.
