- Price/inventory : Plenty of E+ PW priced right. Many sellers pricing said inventory constructively from the git, then negotiating & completing transactions. I saw product leaving Silver/Blue from the open to my leaving @ 5:00 PM. Presumably enough from the other halls too.
- Crowds: solid, animated, Parking lots on Thursday? As good as any fair weather Friday.
- What’s selling? Well priced (E/E+) PW, parts, track, layout stuff. Miller busy w/his signs.
- What’s not selling? I saw very few purple & orange boxes leaving halls.
- Dead hall? The purple. Saw very little joy in circuit board Orangeville, but that might be because I didn’t get there until after 4:00 PM.
- Takes nerves of steel to resist those Williams deals @ Trainworld. At those prices ... (no you will just have to check them out yourselves)!
- Didn’t see that Croc running at MTH, In fact didn’t see one there at all. I don’t have the heart to repeat the story I heard why. I simply urge all to double check their security wherever they go now, and that includes the Fairgrounds parking lots! Did see an MTH rep demoing an iPhad to a youngster on their mini layout. I myself just kept moving
- Didn’t even get to the White/Red this time. I still plan on leaving plenty of firepower and home inventory space for 2013. But then again most of you by now are well familiar with my general bearish demeanor. This York though was pleasantly different. Sort of like the Noah meet of a few years ago, only this time w/o the rain + snow and the full grip of a recession.
- Roads? Keep away from I84 between Jervis <-> Scranton, just when you think it can't get worse, it does. I81 has a couple of single lanes, but nothing that will slow you down. I78 crowded both ways. I80 is smooth as glass & a pleasure on cruise.
Finally: enjoy … regardless!
