Good evening everyone,

I purchased this beautiful IHC kit from a very nice fellow forum member, to my understanding this company is no longer in business. What a nice kit to build, quite enjoyable well any building is enjoyable to me LOL . I added a lot of lighting and some interior detail such  as the weathered flooring and some weathered basswood beams, as  for the exterior I added mortar to the bricks and weathered it. For some reason the weathering and mortar  looks much heaver in the photo's then it is in person . Thanks for looking

Alex,

Once again you've done a fantastic job on a structure.  I have one of these kits that I bought years ago to replace my single stall Lionel engine house on my new layout.  The new layout has yet to materialize so the kit sits and waits.  But now that I see what you and Frank have done with this kit I see several ways to enhance the kit.  I can only hope that mine turns out half as good as yours or Franks when I get around to building it.

Alex,  I think your shed looks great.  And I agree with the concensus, this is a really neat kit, and very versatile.  About 6 yrs ago there was a lady on ebay selling them for a song.  I think I picked up 6.  I used 3 and a half of them for my first real kit bash.  It came out great, but HUGE.  Too big for my layout, oh well.  I think it's still in the basement somewhere.

I like the build, what are it's dimensions?

Paul:

I'm guess, but those two window panels with end pieces are about seven inches across. In which case, I would say this build is probably about 45" across - 42" for the panels and three extra inches for some gaps and it could be as narrow as seven inches plus another seven inches for the underpass in front.

That's a fair assessment Frank.  Unfortunately, it was not stored well.  It's not exactly in uh, 'measurable' condition.  I appreciate the interest, Paul, but I think Alex is going to take it off my hands.  If no, i'll be in touch.

thanks!

nick
