Well, it had to happen.  I managed to blow the fuse on my Legacy power brick.  Then the frustration takes over, why in the world did Lionel decide to hide the fuse inside with the stupid triangular screws!  Shouldn't it be a replaceable item?  Enough about that, time to make sure it doesn't happen again!

The fix is surprisingly simple, replace the fuse with a PTC, I selected a 1.3A hold model.  The actual operating current for the Legacy base is around .6 amps, so I am well within the rating.  Since the brick is rated as a 2A brick, that seemed to be a good choice.

Needless to say, the stupid triangular drive screws now reside in my trash and I put normal screws into the brick!  Of course, I should never have to open this one again, the screws were changed just for spite.
