Since the loop under the tree is up and going and I have taken down the temp layout in hopes of starting the permanent layout...I dug out a few locos I have yet to run myself. Now I have 3 RMT BEEP's and they all run fine and are a good value. But I have not run my RMT BEEF A-B-A Santa Fe war bonnet set yet. So I took the mini Berksire off the PE and hooked up my BEEF set. Hit the power and the 3 unit set walked off with the PE cars. The units seem to run even better than the BEEP's and the horn is pretty decent for the price and size of this set. These units looked good out of the box but I am even more happy with them now that they run so well and sound so good!! While Mini Berk may not make it to the layout these I may have to sneak in!!!

AMCDave...Appreciate your comments. Those 'train guys' that have seen or purchased the RMT BEEFs tend to agree with your comments.
While the BEEF is a shorter diesel, it sits on BEEP chassis, the other proportions of height and width are truly O scale as they are based upon the former Kline E-8 A diesels and include all the details including a FIXED PILOT.

An RMT customer posted a great you tube video that is currently on the RMT website in the BEEF section.

With the previous week's RMT sale, there are only a few BEEFs left in stock.
Matching streamline cars arrive soon too!.
Thanks.

I have an A-B-B-A set that is all powered - with eight motors it is quite a powerful set. I repainted it olive drab for my war train (and added gun turrets to the noses of the A units, etc., all, I admit, very childish (and fun). So I have a couple of extra unpowered A units still in Warbonnet. I like BEEFs alot - not quite as much as BEEPS, but that's just me. A LOT of fun!
i love the septa beeps. i have 3 now. i wanna buy the new bethlehem steel models coming in 2013
