Not to worry, JoJo. If the Allegheny (reportedly shipping next week) is like every other recent Lionel BTO steam locomotive, dealers will have plenty of them... and it's quite likely you'll be able to eventually find a brand new one for LESS THAN the typical pre-order prices when dealers offer "a sale". Just need to be a bit patient. Haven't been disappointed yet. I keep waiting for the first time this strategy won't work, but Lionel and the dealers/distributors haven't proven me wrong yet. That's one of the reasons I've stopped pre-ordering Lionel BTO locomotives.
