Not to get too far off the topic Tom T, Brads double crossover is a thing of beauty! Is it code 148? Thanks for the photo.

I am daring to assume that it is on your O scale layout. What do you intend to run on this magnificent piece of work?

Indy show:  When I first learned of the Indy show (back in the Stone Age) I was informed that it was a weekend show, one day for scale trains the other day for toy miscellaneous and collectible . Is that so still? O scale was a big part of it?

Was a Fri/Sat show up until recently and all O scale for many years (no toy miscellaneous and collectible in my experience).  After Dan & Amy took over it was expanded to be O & S scale.

Was hoping to see/read some 1st hand reports on attendance and all here.......soon?

Don't have any numbers just this comment from a friend who went.

"The attendance was not bad, but by noon of the first day, it was pretty thin on customers.   Sure not like it was about 4-5 years ago, but our group is declining pretty fast."

Thanks.  Folks do want to get in and out, and then back on the road by lunch time. I can see that.  Afternoons do tend to drag on and on.....I used to bring a book to read.

I went down on Saturday (from the Chicago area), and yes, the attendance was light when I got there at 10 local time.   A few no show sellers, but was a fair show.   I had not been to this show in many years, but did get some small purchases, as I was not looking at big buying like the March Meet does for me.   The thing I did pick up,  not planning to, was an Overland tri-level auto rack, painted yellow, and with separate custom printed UP decals.   Have always liked these cars, but were either too over priced, or would be a bear to paint.    I just had to take it home with me!!!    Saturday night was fun, with visits to both Jim Canters' home, and Warner Clarks' home to see their great layouts.

Jim Canter: doesn't he work in P:48?

This was the best show we have put on. Well over 200 attendees and only three no shows. All 176 8' tables were sold. Some have said we had a light turnout but again it's the best in years as we continue to build this show. One issue is probably the two rooms across from each other. People spread out and there was a lot of stuff piled everywhere. All dealers I spoke with were extremely happy with sales. I have said this before, I would rather have 10 people with a lot of money than 100 people with no money. One room is 10,000 sq ft while the other is 8,000 sq ft. Sunday was soft but that's normal unfortunately.

Thanks to all that showed up. We are working on next years dates.

I picked up about 16 Atlas reefers at a really nice price, plus a zephyr car that I had been looking for for quite some time. Got a couple phone numbers so that I can pick up a couple more pieces once my pocket book has a chance to re-load. Some of the items I picked up were brought down from Iowa by Merlyn of Caboose Stop Hobbies, so that he wouldn't have to pack and I wouldn't have to pay shipping, LOL.

Items from many different manufacturers were available, and I was pleased by the number of different sellers and the number of buyers.

After the show, made it around town to see some landmarks and grab some Giordano's pizza.

Then thanks to the Southwest Airlines fiasco over the weekend, we ended up flying back from Louisville. Found this great little train store called Roundhouse Electric Trains. Tons of O Gauge (3-rail), some HO, plenty of post-war Lionel. No 2-rail, but I found this cool little crane that I picked up.
