We finished the installation of the Harry Heike large version GCT Base unit today. What a positive difference this makes to the GCT Terminal. Certainty takes it to a new level.

Many thanks to Harry for such an excellent job in his rendition of part of this famous terminal. Hope you all like the photos. Click on the photos for a larger view.

Thanks, Mike, Forrest, Art, Captain John, Carl Art, Mike, Mark & Bill. This was not a simple installation as we had to move buildings at the water front and juggle all of the pieces to the center of the layout. Elizabeth was right there with me and was a big help.

You have to see one of these in person. It is off the charts beautiful.

We did more work today on this area of the layout including repopulating passenger trains that had to be removed during the installation of the new base. The photos show a more complete project.

Also take a look at the Daylight Cab forward that has made it's way to a water area (where it should be).

You will get a much better view if you click on the photos to enlarge them.

"IS THIS LOCATED ON THE NEW LAYOUT IN TH EHOUSE OR THE ORIGINAL LAYOUT?STEVE"

Steve, the GCT is part of the original layout in our barn. You have to see this in person (and you are invited). What Harry has done brings the GCT to a new level. The photos help, but seeing it for yourself, you can appreciate just how spectacular it really is.
