I'm ready to start to installing my DZ-1000s to atlas 036 switches about 25 of them. They come with 3 springs does anyone know which one to use. If the original atlas switch Machine is already removed and the 036 switch is already installed to the layout is it necessary to remove the 036 switch before installing the DZ-1000.

The springs are for the following switches:
- Gargraves
- Atlas
- Ross
I think the spring in the center picture is the correct one. I have one Atlas switch connected to a DZ-1000 with this spring, and it works fine. The end with the loop (left side of your picture) goes through the hole in the Atlas throw bar. You don't have to remove your switch to install the DZ-1000. Don't screw down the DZ-1000 until you make sure it is in the proper position to throw your switch in both directions. Also, try to make sure that the height of the arm on the DZ-1000 matches up to the height of the throw bar on the Atlas switch.
Thanks for the info, you guys are great!
This is a great post. And this is a late add, but the key to this thread is this: "make sure that the height of the arm on the DZ-1000 matches up to the height of the throw bar on the Atlas switch". If your atlas switch in directly on the bench top with the dz-1000 also directly on the bench top, the dz-1000 only works in one direction. Putting a paint stick (or otherwise elevating the switch above the dz-1000 by about 1/4" resolved the issue. The Atlas switch and DZ-1000 can not be on the same level surface. Ah Ha!
