I want to start a gallery thread for all to enjoy with something relating to trains but maybe a little different perspective or something interesting or even funny. Please feel free to post your shots and maybe we can get this thread going.

Please post your shots folks! I'll start.

When the CGI movie A Christmas Carol came out, a special train took people behind-the-scenes. I caught up with it in 30th Street Station, Philly. It was dark down there on the platform but I got permission to take a photo.DSCF0747

A fascinating display in one car was a small set with a motion-capture suit. An actor was filmed in this suit. The lights (dots) and grids (tiles) guided animators when they added characters, clothing, details and backgrounds for scenes in the movie.

Great post - I'll have to dig a bit and see what I have.

Joey - those are great, especially like the shot with the train and truck!  More luck then the skill of the others, but really wild.  Regarding the pace shot, however - looks like the blur was after the fact and done in processing with the blur filter - yes?  It looks more like blur then motion.

Great stuff guys keep em' coming, keep em' coming.

Mitch, love that dog shot. - pace shot taken with one of my lensbaby lenses, train only doing about 5 mph at the time. If you are familiar with these lenses, although I use them for some of my portrait work, they can be used for a variety of neat stuff.  And Mitch, I remember you when I used to post on RP a long time ago. I am not concerned with foreground clutter or PEQs here.

Thanks for the comment Dave. Maybe some day I will set up an online album.
