Yesterday I had the Rochelle web cam on. A BNSF freight came through the diamond. The engine and a number of cars had gone through the camera when all of a sudden the train went into emergency shutdown. Luckily it was not a crossing accident. Apparently back down the track the train had come apart. Had the diamond tied up for a bit of time. Backed up once and you could hear it couple up. Started moving forward then another stop. Backed up once more then finally started moving forward again. ................Paul

Hmm. Sounds like the same problem I have from time to time with both MTH and Lionel rolling stock.

Since "pull aparts" obviously are prototypical, perhaps Lionel and MTH need to come up with sound features that imitate a train going into emergency when a "pull apart" occurs. ;-)
