Can anyone tell me what interior colors were on the PRR engine, primarily the 44 ton. Were going to start with the engine & interior on the loco and I never thought about it.
It would appear that the Cab, engine housing and the motor were all grey. but were they all the same shade of grey? I found one color listed on a color sheet as Suede Grey for the PRR Dupont #113-503. That is the only thing I dug up.
looking at the locomotive. I see grey everywhere with the walls of the cab matching the engine sheet metal. I have found some green on the roof of the cab, is that an orginal primer? Our GM loco does have a green cab.
The Cat engines has some yellow but mostly grey. I would figure the got replacement parts in Cat yellow and just repainted them grey.
The generators are a lighter grey almost a white grey or Very light grey.
All of the 44 ton pictures I've seen is the light grey interior on the cab and the engine housing. Not to many photo's out there. I still have found a shot of my 9339.
Also was there a set color for the decals and engine numbers. (yellow)
