Hmmmm - could this be the landing place for an oval of Knapp track I shipped out a few days ago?  

Are these homemade, stripped originals, some combination? Whatever they are, they are very cool.

No homemade ...all original ...shiny was the nickel finish,...see catalog text ...bare brass was normal for most of the,C & F trolleys / Interurbans

I love your Interurbans. They are much rarer than the McCoy ones I have, but all Interurbans are fun to operate! 

Rare is relative ....desirable , valuable, etc all values we individually place on items ...

If you are talking production numbers ..Carlisle and Finch  made far more Interurbans than McCoy could ever had hoped for ......now add survival rate over 110 years for C&F and 30 years for Bob's ... ...Bob's have had a better , safer environment in hands of collectors from new so 100 % survival rate ....C&F ..did not fair as well so perhaps a 3-5% survival rate ...   now layer in who is buying what  at different price levels  ..the stratosphere is formed    

So enjoy and buy what you like;;   rare or medium  or well done

No more 2" items in the house - I found that track in a flea market/somewhat antique type store that is more fleas than antiques. If that partial box with the Knapp label hadn't been in the carton I probably wouldn't have bought the track (luckily, the Knapp name rang a bell). All those straights were a nice bonus - knowing the ratio of toy train curves to straights that show up was a plus...
