Had a real nice experience today at a local train show. A good buddy of mine, who has always admired my collection and layout, came to a show with me and my kids. I thought he and his kids would simply enjoy some of the layouts and sights. He leaned over and asked me if I would help him buy a set for around the tree. He didn't want to spend too much, and knowing his appreciation for my postwar collection, we found a great postwar set in excellent shape with box and all. We all went back to his house, put some coffee and christmas music on, and started putting together a nice oval of O27. The set ran great and all of us had a blast watching that little NW2 lap around the oval. When I left he was thinking about going back to the show to buy some more stuff. Looks like I have a new train buddy!
