At the 2007 National Narrow Gauge Convention in Portland, Maine, I purchased a three-piece body shell kit for an On18 Brookville critter, made by Railway Recollections in Canada. Upon returning home I bought the Bachmann N gauge 0-6-0 diesel (gas?) switcher to get the required power mechanism. I've done nothing with the project since.
I don't think Railway Recollections' website (railway-recollections.com) has changed in the last eight years, and I am wondering if the four small On18 freight cars pictured are still being produced? Is Railway Recollections still producing anything On18? Is anyone modeling 1/48 scale narrow gauge dabbling in 18-inch gauge, either using commercial or scratchbuilt equipment? I may do nothing more than model a small point-to-point operation from within one industrial building to another, but will definitely handlay code .55 or .40 rail on appropriately-sized ties and avoid N gauge track with ties too short and too close together.
Even if not working in On18, I would like to hear from anyone modeling O scale narrow gauge in any track width narrower than On30.
