Looking through the 2018 Atlas Catalog today I see little new in O gauge. Makes one wonder if they want to stay in the O gauge business. If you ask me, I think Atlas really hit the skids!

Having just received my Spencer Packing Co. reefers from Atlas, they can do no wrong in my book right now. They still make the best detailed, most accurate cars available in my humble opinion.

Matt,
Now Now its all good fun!
Myself I love the Atlas Box Cars, the WAG Box Cars are some of the best, and I do wish they would make the 2 tone wood side originals for the WAG Railroad to add to the one's they have already made.

Of course its all in good fun Dave, if I'm not having fun, I'm doing it wrong. I didn't get into this hobby to worry and be angry, that's what girlfriends are for.
What happened to the beer reefers they used to make? Put any beer on the side of a reefer and I will by it. Come on Atlas...your reefers are the best.
Atlas has made some very good stuff in the past. I was not taking a knock on them but just wondering if the lack of new products and their decreased presence at shows has anything to do with them staying in the O gauge business or just re-focusing on the HO products that the company once made exclusively.

As was suggested in the Amazon delivery thread, you may be the source of the problem if girlfriends make you worried and angry. Have had the same one for 46 years, and she never caused worry or anger. Now if you flip the roles, I've provided plenty of reasons for her to worry or be angry, but she handled it well.
What, me worry? (see, maybe it's just not in my nature - and remember this is all in fun)
Alfred, worrying is not in my nature, thats why i got rid of the last one

well at least its better than, 'have you seen the price of O scale ____________ at my LHS' or my least favourite 'are brass prices dropping?'

Yep....armchair manufacturing........easy to do as no sweat or cash is involved. If I was paying the bills I'd be pretty conservative right now. Remember.....Anyone can form a company and show up the big 3.
From the Big E, Atlas is still trying to get out the dash 8's. They are still behind on their diesel's

Being from Sioux City, IA, I just got the Needham 40' reefer as well as the Spencer pack car. I also have the Sioux City Dressed Beef car from a few years ago.
Is Atlas Coming Out with New O Gauge Trains? Do you mean O gauge as in Industrial Rail size or O scale?
Love Atlas O's intermodal cars. Wish they would do another run of 45' containers.

All of the O scale trains Atlas has made have also been O gauge. To the best of my knowledge they have not made any narrow gauge models that would run on something other than O gauge track.
Doesn’t Atlas still owe people engines from years ago? I would get those done before doing any new O Gauge engines or cars.

O gauge and O scale are not the same thing. O gauge is the track size. O scale is the proportion. Not sure how narrow gauge got thrown into the topic. Atlas Industrial Rail line is O gauge but 'semi-scale' not full O 1/48.
SIRT was asking if you were looking for new SCALE rolling stock or something in the O gauge semi-scale line (IR)
Matt,
"That is what girl friends are for" Almost spit my morning coffee all over the computer screen over that one, great comment! Some whining little woman is going to call you a male abuser over this stuff, might as well have fun doing it!
AMCDave,
Heck I run to much Tin Plate to be concerned about the actual difference, however point well taken, you are correct.

Waaaaay ! behind and that's not counting the 7 yr + on the GE 8-40 CWs reservations, also Atlas no longer shows the Industrial Rail line on their production schedule just saying.
