Is it possible the Blocking function is preventing post to topics

I think I understand what you are asking, but I don't know the answer.  Next time you see something like that occur, send me an e-mail so I can check the posts in that topic.

Hi Allan, when I try to post a reply from work it wont open, but from home it is just fine. I always assumed it was the company fire wall. I am also one of those folks who gets the unsupported browser banner when I connect from the office.

No, that is not possible, and that is not why this happens.

If you re having this problem you are either using an unsupported browser like GG1man is at work, or your Java installation needs updated.

Most likely it's your Internet explorer browser. If it is try using Firefox or some other browser. I like Firefox, it cured allot of problems I was having with IE browser.

I don't think it is my browser, so I think the system has a glitch.  I can open and post to 99% of the items.  When I hit one that has issues, the Post reply block opens, but it is missing the Cancel and Submit Reply boxes.

I have seen more folks starting to complain, and the first time this happen to me is after the announcement about Blocking.

My assumption is..... someone who is actively blocking folks post to the subject and it then prevents others from posting.  Granted I don't know for sure, but I am using the same browser as always and this just started and only happens on some post.  Usually, others complain about it also.  So somewhere is a program glitch.  One gentleman could not post a response on his own initial topic after a post or 2 were made.   G

On the few occasions where I thought this had happened to me, it turned out I wasn't scrolled down the very bottom of the page where the missing boxes were.

Later I noticed that you can scroll to the bottom sometimes, but then the screen readjusts itself an instant later, and you have to scroll further to see those two boxes. Usually happens with a long post or when adding photos which extends the posting box down past the bottom of the screen.

Just an idea.

The scrolling issue Jim mentioned has happened to me, too.

So no solution to this, just assume operator error:-)  G

New user here, but experiencing the same problem with my first and only post.  I can't respond to what people are posting anymore.  Can't be the browser because I've been involved in some in depth conversations this morning with no issues.  Then, it just stopped allowing me to post anything to my own original post.  Kind of putting a damper on establishing a rep for myself as the new guy if people are assisting me and I can't respond or thank them.

Please check out "jpos" post, I can no longer post to it.  The one common factor I have seen in this is after RJR post, some can no longer post.  G
