I'm seeing lava flows and earthquakes in Hawaii on the news. Hoping our friend and long time Forum member Scale Rail is doing well and is safe.

Its not a big deal when the ground shakes and starts on fire
Lol. Still lava runs pretty quick
Thanks guys, we just had an radio/TV alert that no tsunami is expect from this last 6.9. All the action is on the big island of Hawaii. It's a hundred miles from our coast of Maui. Those poor guys are getting five or more quakes a minute. I think the volcano is really getting ready for something. Thousands of people had to leave their homes. Thanks for thinking of us. Don and Vicky
Scale Rail lives in Lahaina, Maui. which is a different island, than the one with the lava and smoke.
Don, we will certainly keep you guys in our thoughts. If you need us forum folk to come over to the Islands for a rescue mission I'm sure we can pull that together...

This is the road to the volcano....Shot from a drone. Don
That looks surreal. It's hard to imagine all that is going on.
Man Don, you are having quite the year in Hawaii. First the North Koreans or Chinese tried to send nuclear missiles to blow you up and now the volcano and earth quakes with potential tsunamis. If I were you I’d head on over to the “Goose” and knock back a few cocktails!
Hey, Don...remember the "good old days" when you and I had to cover these eruptions for the local media? Don worked in TV on Oahu and I was Photo & Graphics Editor for The Honolulu Advertiser, the state's major newspaper at the time. Viewing those eruptions is a pretty awesome sight and experience.

Good to hear, Don! That sulfur-laden air can be a real annoyance, not to mention a health hazard.
By the way, your Sugar Train article is going to appear in the August issue (in design phase now). Steeple cab in October.
