The audio amp and the FET for the front coupler went south on an AE-1000E34 Diesel Electric, PS3 board. Is the audio amp replaceable?
The board runs on the PS3 Test Assembly, but no sounds. To fire the front coupler you must push the front coupler arrow twice to get the light to blink. I am assuming the front coupler fet was defective first and somehow took out the audio amp.

I don't see it in the ASC Replaceable Parts on PS3 service bulletin, that's not a good sign.
I was told at mth asc school the the amp is not replaceable on the ps3 boards as it is an integral part built into the board when manufactured!

Probably why it doesn't appear on the replaceable parts list. 
BS. Sure it is replaceable with specialized equipment. It has pins all around each side. A few have been changed at MTH, but way to hard with out the necessary rework equipment. G
Yep, not too many of us with the tools to swap that one.
I have to get others to change Audio Amp on the PS2 3v boards for me - too small. Can't imagine trying the PS3 ones.
