Hi All,

After seeing Cabinet Bob's Menards Santa Fe train video, I noticed there was a few cars I don't remember seeing. I've wondered for a while if someone (Mark, Bob?) knows of or has a complete master list of what Menards has offered over the past few years. I'm sure there is one or two "retired" ones I may have missed.

Very cool, Ed! I already noticed a few "retired" items on your sample photo. Maybe between you and Cabinet Bob there could be, as D500 said, a collector's guide opportunity. You could be the next TM team!  With the rapid growth of the Menards line over the last few years, I'm surprised nothing has come out.

ROBMCC - Here is what I come up with so far,  if anyone wants to continue with this list and update it, its all theirs.

Many years ago when TM Books was still doing their Modern Era Guides, I used to assist. For the Modern Era items, it was quite challenging to keep up with all the annual updates.

I must say.. WELL DONE !!!...Thanks for sharing.. Bob

I hope this isn't too much of a detour but I have a bone to pick with any of these types of lists (though being in Excel mitigates the problem).  I think I know the reason why but it doesn't validate the process to me.  All these lists (and especially lists in ads from Train dealers) are in love with sorting by serial/part number.  Pardon me but is that more important than road name?  I think all lists should be primarily sorted by roadway. I always had the impression most people have their favorites and buy those exclusively.  Am I wrong?  Don't the majority of you buy on a road name basis? If I'm an Alaska RR guy I want to see what Alaska cars are available.  When I see ads from the big dealers they are dutifully listed in serial/part no order.  This makes you scan the whole list which I'm sure is the advertisers aim but its not going to get me to go "oh look, there's a Chessie flatcar, I want one".  Never going to happen.   Rant over.

Surprisingly YES, you ARE wrong when it comes to Toy Train worlds and collecting. The majority of Toy Train Buyers like Colors and looks rather than purchase cars and such that are Railroad Specific road names. Buying Railroad Specific are model railroaders of which the majority are in the more popular scales. Alas both You and I are in the Minority.

Wow Ed! That's awesome. Thanks for sharing. For those wanting specific roadnames, just use Control+F to easily search. It does look like the original file is Excel though from the previous posted screen shot. He certainly needs props for at least creating this list. Thanks again!
