If you can identify this transformer, tell us about it.

The only markings are a couple letters stamped on the bottom.  There was a lamp cord attached to the deterating power cord with wire nuts, which I cut off.

That's a TW. The knobs are not Lionel. The TW identification plate is missing. The U post needs to be replaced. The power cord needs to be replaced. May as well replace the CB while you are inside.

Be careful how you incorporate this xformer into your layout! As others have stated, it's a weird design. If you use common ground wiring, don't try to get 14 v from the pairs labeled as such! You will end up with a floating ground, which is bad news. Don't ask me how I know this...
