wow, I got a shock when I turned the channel to variable to run my trolley and 0-18. bang! it was like 0-60 in 2 seconds! any reason why the remote goes from 0-18volts readout and nothing in between? cant figure that out. anybody guess why? something I have to do prior to moving from fixed to variable.

Never saw this happen before, you may have a problem, If you are using TIU TR it should come on at zero and you should turn the wheel for increasing the voltage.
Turn everything off and start again an see what happens.

It sounds as if the starting voltage is set to 18 volts or you're using DCS earlier than 4.30 with ALL TIU TRACKS.
If the former, use the MPG (?) soft key to change the starting voltage. If the latter and you want to use ALL TIU TRACKS, upgrade to DCS 4.30.
