Hello. I am new to the forum and this is my first post. I have a Lionel 6-38070 locomotive that is having some issues. First the smoke unit stopped working, then some time later the DynaChuff and squeeling brakes stopped working. All other features/sounds work fine. I tried reprogramming but it did not make a difference. I've also removed the shell and looked around for loose wires, etc. but could not see anything obvious. I can get along with out the smoke but sure would like to get the sounds working again... Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum!
You will find all kinds of helpful folks here with lots of knowledge and experience.
It would help to know if you are running command or conventional?
Also have you been following the recommended smoke fluid amounts per the manual?
Is the smoke switch on?
If running command, have you tried toggling it on/off per the manual instructions?
Is the wireless tether aligned and properly connected?

Thanks Rod. I am running in command mode and the smoke switch is On. I've tried to follow the instructions when it comes to adding smoke fluid. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by toggling the command on/off. Could you please clarify? The locomotive connects to the tender with a wire. I think the tender is working properly as the rear coupler and other sounds all work. Thanks again Rod. I appreciate the help - I need all I can get...
Thanks Scott. The switch is set to Railsounds and I did try toggling back-and-forth but it did not make a difference. Thanks again.
Hi SCOTT,
If no smoke, blow down the stack of the engine. Sometimes a air bubble forms in the stack and will impede the smoke unit.
try reprogramming again as per the instructions from lionel here;

I had to do this a couple times to get my Pennsylvania GP right again.....found out I didn't make sure the power was off the track before placing the loco back on.
