I modeled in about every scale out there except S. However I love your photographs
Does Marx 3/16 get an honorable mention today?
Thank you for remembering Rusty and a Happy S Gauge Day to you and everyone.

I have been modelling in S gauge for about 25 years. One day at a swap meet I spotted a hudson set which need lots of TLC. Once I got it home I cleaned it up and it ran like a top and I was hooked. The box had lots of track and a couple switches and to my surprise a couple of cool accessories.
I now have a permanent display incorporating S, O and Standard gauge. For Christmas this year I ran the Flyer Chier Polar Express set with 6 cars and my grand son's brand new docksider Flyer Chief set. Really looks good with Dept 56 buildings.

At Xmas, I run S gauge trains with the Xmas in the City series. The S trains are the perfect for them.

Once upon a time.
Nice layouts and collections.
Bob B -- the engine you showed is Flyonel? 2-6-6-2? It's sitting on Flyer track, so does it handle 20" radius curves?
@Chuck K posted:That's a Flyonel Y-3, a 2-8-8-2. Yes, they handle R20 curves.
I would go even further. The Lionel AF Y3 runs smoothly through Gilbert turnouts, both in forward and in reverse. It is an excellent hi-rail model with great sounds, smooth speed control, and good smoke simulation under Legacy control. Arguably, it is the best single piece ever done by Lionel (or possibly any manufacturer) for hi-rail S gauge. It's that good.

Don't see why not...

Then I'm an S scaler!!
Here's my little Marx 3/16" set that's just like the one I had as a young lad of 7 or 8 years of age serving duty this past Christmas on our "Official Christmas Layout":
