Inspired by @CAPPilot's "Friendship Train" collection and in unity with everyone around the world struggling for freedom and against the ravages of war, my RMT ALCo ("Bang") S4 in PRR DGLE hauling a few newly-acquired "Friendship Train" boxcars and some "help" for our friends in Ukraine:
The "Friendship Train" cars are all Lionel PS-1, The woodside Ukraine car is MTH Premier and the PRR N6B cabin is a very nicely-detailed offering from Lionel.
May we all support our troops and their fight for freedom here and around the world.

Indeed! She likely could pull twice that! They've got two of those motors in the 1955 GG-1 I'm working on and once I get the washers to shim up the trucks to keep the flanges from scraping the frame, I'll be hauling a bunch of rolling stock, too!

Bangor & Aroostook EMD BL2 no. 51 is a Williams model I purchased from my favorite dealer and friend, Peter. While new, it’s an older model he had in stock, so it lacks the prime mover sounds of newer Williams offerings. This doesn’t bother me, because, at times, I just like to hear the sounds of wheels on rail. I also find if I run another engine with sound, I don’t notice one lacks sound.
EMD built just 59 BL2s before it was replaced by the more practical (for switching, due to better visibility) GP7. Thanks to our friend from Finland, Johan, I learned BAR owned eight, second only to C&O (fourteen). Johan has a goal of collecting all eight BAR BL2s. Wouldn’t you love to see a picture of all eight parked in his yard?
Next up is finding a BAR caboose to go with the engine. They are rare birds, so I may have to have a caboose custom painted. In the meantime, the crew will be housed in Canadian Pacific caboose no.438707. The CP colors - red body with yellow ends - is the same as many BAR cabooses, so the BAR crew will feel right at home.

Beautiful locomotive!! Especially in this livery of the Bangor and Aroostook. I've loved BL2s ever since I saw my first one in HO scale back in the mid 1970s. It was in C&O livery. I have a MTH Premier BL2 in Western Maryland livery, which in my opinion is the least eye catching of all 8 liveries of the roads who purchased them. Williams made a fine product when your BL2 was manufactured. WbB should bring them back. Enjoy your new engine to the max John!!

Great stuff posted today everyone! Here’s a pair of 1:1 scale switchers owned by the Grafton & Upton Railroad heading toward its yard in North Grafton, MA on Monday afternoon, February 26th. I captured this video and photos with my iPhone.
These former CSX engines spent most of the day taking a loaded train south to Upton and Hopedale, MA and then switching those locations, swapping out the loads for empties. They have just dropped their northbound train on the main a short distance south of this location and are now heading light to switch the North Grafton yard.
They will then come back south to grab their train and drag it onto the yard. This is pretty much a daily routine Monday through Friday.
The G&U interchanges with CSX at the N. Grafton yard. Generally loaded cars inbound to the G&U and empties outbound to CSX.

CNJ Joe, loved your post of the Grafton & Upton. I’m a lifelong fan of the short line, having grown up near the North Grafton, MA, terminal and yards. I could see the trains running across the field from my house!
Back in the day, G&U operated an Alco S4 and two GE 44 tonners. The line was dormant for a time, but returned to operation after 2000 with an assortment of first generation diesel power, including GP9s and a F7. Yes, an F7 in revenue service! I believe G&U still owns the F7 and has used it for Christmas excursions. Trains magazine published an article on the G&U and F7 a few years ago.
I wish G&U would repaint their ex CSX power back to their traditional gold and black. Thanks for posting, Joe!

Thanks, John! I’ve been living in Grafton since 2003 and have followed the “rebirth” and growth of the G&U since then. I’ve taken tons of photos and videos over the years, including the F7 before and after its repainting into the black and yellow scheme. It was very cool to see an F7 in revenue service and performing switching duties! I’ll have to dig some out and post them here. Oh, and I agree with you, those 3 former CSX MP15AC’s would look awesome in G&U colors!
Joe, I'll look forward to seeing those photos and videos and I'm sure our SwSat friends will enjoy them, too. BTW, I didn't stray far from my boyhood home, I live in Shrewsbury now.

Just seeing your post now John. Thanks so much! As you probably know, Rich Melvin has contacted CrowdStack and they may be fixing the problem as I type this. Bob ( RSJB 18 ) has uploaded a bunch of photos recently tonight with no problems. Thanks again.
@trumpettrain- Hey Patrick, I have been meaning to ask you but always seem to forget. Where do you get your figures from? Do you paint them yourself? For example, I have never seen the man in shirt and tie with the straw hat (fedora) anywhere. If you have a chance could you let me know the source?

Don - actually I pick up figures from a number of sources ... rarely do I buy new figures. I usually get them at train shows from individuals who sell various train items. I've also bought a fair amount at train stores who have a used figures bin. I've never painted any of my figures. Someday I may do so. Sorry I can't give you a precise avenue.

I've not seen MTH New Haven 44-tonners or Alco S-2 switchers for sale although I am always on the lookout for them. If you are modeling the Union Freight Railroad, I would like to see what you're doing. Contact me through email. I've prepared a sketch for a model of the Yard Office at 87 Atlantic Avenue and a track diagram for a small layout but concluded that this would be a rather difficult project to model in O gauge.
My suggestion is for you to buy a 44-ton or S-2 model and have it repainted into New Haven or UFRR livery...

No Peter. Both are MTH. I had a PA unit custom painted.
I have one Union Freight engine, a Williams 44-ton which I repainted. You can’t beat the price — sounds, horn, lights — but I only use conventional control, so that might be a limitation if you want remote.

What paint did you use and where did you get it? The NEW HAVEN orange is striking.
Those are PolyScale acrylic New Haven colors, unfortunately no longer available.
@trumpettrain- Hey Patrick thank you for your response on my question to you about your figures. The figures are really neat and now I will keep a sharper lookout at shows and stores for the "used figure bin" 
. Sorry I took so long to respond, its been a tough month for me and I just have not been able to do much posting and follow up.
