HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!  IT'S TEAM TRACK TUESDAY!!!  Share your team track photos here!

Found in remote rural locations, small towns, and large cities, team tracks are a vital part of real railroad day to day operations.   Team tracks service the on/off loading of most kinds of freight cars, some passenger train head end cars, and MOW cars/equipment.

The purpose of this thread is to inspire one another by regularly creating new team track scenes on our railroads and inspiring one another by sharing our photos.  Changing team track scenes is a great way to engage the imagination in creative play and keeping layouts looking fresh with the creation of new scenes each week ( or as often as you time will allow ).  Everyone is welcome!  If you have a museum quality detailed layout, a simple oval of track with an undesignated spur, or somewhere in between, come join the fun and post your photos!

This week on the Free State Junction Railway in lower Patsburg, team track two's surrounding area has received a new makeover with the installation of a new unloading platform, and a general clean up of the area. Milk was the first freight load to be off loaded this week.

Also over in the " Brewtown " area, the team track has had its loading platform dismantled and actually moved to team track two.  A new asphalt pad has been installed alongside the "Brewtown" team track.   The first car to unload on this team track was a AT&SF barrel car and the second was a Robin Hood Beer reffer load of wooden kegs.

Go ahead and post your photos of action on your railroad's team track!  We'd love to see them!

Again, HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL!!! See ya next week on the TEAM TRACK!!IMG_4228IMG_4231IMG_4284IMG_4281IMG_4280IMG_4282IMG_4240IMG_4216IMG_4219IMG_4215IMG_4291IMG_4295IMG_4290

Patrick, I love the paving job!  Tim that's one cool fire wagon...

With the new year comes a time for resolutions going forward and time to reflect on the past year. This week I want to review some of the last years TTT posts that I think are among my favorites. I hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane...

Happy Team Track Tuesday- the 2018 Edition.

I hope everyone has a Happy and Healthy New Year. Our year ended with the flu (me) before Christmas and went right through the whole house. Lots of canceled Holiday plans but there's no where to go but up from here.

Patrick- Your team tracks are always undergoing some sort of changes. I guess its to keep up with the local industries.

Mark- your scenes are always so well put together. I especially like the black and white shot of cars being unloaded.

Arnold- looks like a busy team track- welcome.

Tim- sharp fire engine.

Brian- you always find some great 1:1 team track shots.

SIRT- Great REA equipment there.

I'm going to keep the Postal theme going this week. On Team Track # 2 PRR # 2232 brought in the local Railway Post Office and a REA box car. Seems the locals have a lot of packages to return after Christmas. So many that the local post Office asked the railroad for help. A couple of PRR TOFC units are on stand-by in case of overflow. A balmy 26 degrees here today despite the bright sun, so the crew is pushing to finish up early and get out of the cold.

More cold weather and snow on the way for the northeast this week. Everyone stay warm.

Bob

Great posts everyone!!

Tim - got to love that antique fire pumper!  I'm sure many of small town received fire fighting equipment via train and on team tracks.

Mark -  I love the " 2017 in review".  Haney's place brought back memories  Love the black and white shot too!  Your photos are all well composed.  Every figure strategically placed.  A visual treat!

SIRT - Wonderfully done!!  I love the shots showing the interior of the car!  Such exquisite detail right down to the large package/envelopes in the boxes.  Great looking weathering on the cars exterior as well!  Bravo!!

Brian - Keep bringing on those prototype  team track photos!  Inspiring!!

Arnold -  nothing provides interest like PW accessories!  Looks great!!

RSJB 18 - Yes local industries in 1950s Patsburg is a booming!!  Team tracks are bustling!!    Your photos shows REA in its busiest times!!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the TEAM TRACK this week to take a gander!   See ya all next week on the TEAM TRACK!  Have a wonderfully fun and creative week!!
