IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY!!!  Share your railroad's team track photos here!

Team tracks are a vital part of real railroading's daily operations.  Team tracks are found in remote rural locations, small towns, and large cities.  A team track is an undesignated  siding/spur that gives the general public access to the railroad's freight service.  Team tracks are also called public delivery tracks.  Undesignated means that the spur does not service any one kind of industry such as a fuel oil dealer or lumber yard.  Practically every kind of freight car can be on/off loaded on team tracks.  Some passenger head end equipment and MOW can also be on/off loaded on team tracks.

This week on the Free State Junction Railway's team track one located in lower Patsburg, an unloading crew is anxiously awaiting the final positioning of the big hook by the Plymouth switcher.  After the crane is in place, the process of unloading a gondola load of copper wire will begin.  The wire is destined for the local power company's storage warehouse and will be transported by flatbed trailer pulled by a Mack B tractor.

Remember that the purpose of this thread is to help inspire one another.  Changing team track scenes frequently is a good way to keep those creative juices flowing!  All team track scenes are welcome!  If you have a museum quality layout or if you have a simple loop of tin plate track with an undesignated siding you are more than welcome to join in the fun!  Photos of real railroad team track operations are welcome too!  Remember that creative play is what it's all about!

Have a wonderfully creative and fun week!  See ya next week on the TEAM TRACK!!!IMG_4454IMG_4455IMG_4456IMG_4460IMG_4468IMG_4462IMG_4468IMG_4479IMG_4480IMG_4482
