IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY!!! Share your team track photos here! Team tracks are a vital part of day to day real railroad operations. Most kinds of freight cars, some passenger, and MOW equipment can be on/off loaded on team tracks. If your railroad has an undesignated siding or spur ( one that does not serve an industry exclusively ) then you more than likely have a team track. All team track photos are welcomed ... prototype real railroading ... museum quality layouts ... and simple ovals of track with an undesignated siding/spur.
Last week a shipment of seeds for the upcoming planting season was unloaded on the team track. This week on the Free State Junction Railway's team track one in Lower Patsburg, a flat car of farm equipment has arrived .... having been spotted on the team track by a B&O Docksider. The farm equipment is destined for the local dealer .... Dale Valley Farm Equipment Co. The unloading crew is unfastening the wheel chocks and chains. Once most chains are unfastened the Docksider will push the car back a few feet and the unloading ramps will be put into place. A lowboy trailer will arrive shortly to haul the cargo to the dealership.
Go ahead and post your railroad's team track photos. We'd love to see them!
Have a wonderfully creative and fun week!! See ya next week on TTT.
