IT's TEAM TRACK TUESDAY  10/31/17 Edition!!!  Post your team track photos here!!

Team tracks are a vital part of day to day railroad operations.  Found in rural areas, small towns, and large cities team tracks, also known as public delivery tracks, provide on/off loading for practically every type of freight car, some passenger head end equipment, and MOW equipment.

This week on the Free State Junction Railway's Mountain Division team track, Christmas trees are being loaded from a Pine Peak Tree Farms truck onto a Santa Fe boxcar.  The boxcar is headed to Lamie, New Mexico where it will be switched onto the line leading to the city of Santa Fe to deliver these trees well in time for the annual town square Christmas festival which is held the day after Thanksgiving.  ( I was able to attend this festival back in 2007 ... its a great event!! )  This year the Christmas Festival committee chose trees from Pine Peak Tree Farm, deep in the Patsburgeon Mountains, as the trees which will be decorated throughout the city square and all around old Santa Fe.

Seem like the roving photographer always show up at break time or lunch time.  If the big boss ever sees these photos he's liable to fire the whole crew.   Looks like the guys have already loaded some trees before the lunch whistle blew.  As soon as the guys finish lunch they'll get back to work loading trees into the boxcar.  Several other trucks loaded with trees are in route to the team track.  Looks like the boss wearing the silver hard hat is calculating the next move once lunch is over.  Click on the images at bottom of this post to see captions.

Remember to post you team track photos.  Share with us what is happening on your railroad's team track.  Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderfully creative week!!  See you next week right here on the TEAM TRACK! IMG_3777IMG_3783IMG_3787IMG_3799IMG_3789IMG_3814IMG_3786

Hi Patrick! Yes, the pallet coming out of the Box car I made. The pallet on the left is from Scale City designs, the two in the truck are of unknown origin I got off ebay.
