Brokers give them to liquor stores and bars to help with displays to help sell more product. Problem is, here in the state of Oklahoma, brokers are prohibited from providing sales enhancers valued at over $300.  Hence, when my good friend Tom, who runs the local office of national alcoholic beverage broker, found four of these sets sitting in his company's warehouse (filled with many, many other wonderful sales enhancers) after Christmas, he thoughtfully shared one with me…

Also included a boxcar and tank car with the Maker's Mark dripping wax motif, a MM billboard, code line poles, track and transformer.  I'm not much of a bourbon drinker (or, as you can see, much of a photographer), but I'm thinking this is still a keeper!Wink

I'm trying to get him to donate one to our school auction next month. Happy to bid on it on your behalf if he does so!

You are correct. Sticker reads: Parts designed and manufactured by Lionel LLC. Assembled and decorated by Pleasant Valley Processing"
