Correct. The NYC NEVER used any Vanderbilt tenders on their Hudson class locomotives. Just another Lionel fantasy!

Still ironic that the NYC never used this type! The biggest irony was the "just like mine" 400E comparison to the NYC Hudson of engineer Bob Butterfield, the Lionel model having a Vanderbilt OIL tender and a 4-4-4 wheel arrangement! The comparison was wrong on THREE counts! Lionel has been partially in the fantasy business for many years now.
