I have made a number calls to Jamestown Train Depot in Chantilly Va. No one has returned my calls. Are they still in business? Anyone else having this problem?

Try the Train Depot, same address and they are associated 703-953-3767
Ed is right - Train Depot is over by Dulles Airport, the only other train stores I know of in the area are Leesburg Hobby in Leesburg, VA and Toy Trains & Collectibles in Manassas by I-66 (same store as the Train depot was in).
There's also a Jamestown train shop in Warrenton, VA but they mostly advertise on the 'Bay - I don't know if they have a store or not. Is that the one you are talking about?
The one that I am asking about is in Chantilly Virginia.
Bob,
I was in the Chantilly store last week for a minor repair of my grandsons engine.
Dave
If you can not get anyone if you call the number they list as a forum sponsor what good are they?

Many vendors are small, or part-time.They could even have personal issue. Why be so negative as if you're the only person that matters. Lighten up or try another source. Dave G.
I have never had the need to call them but I have ordered from them several times using their web site. I always get fast delivery. Never had any issues. Last purchase was about 2 months ago.
Sorry about being so negative, just frustrated.
Call Dan at Toy trains and Collectables. As an NCT member you get a discount on whatever you buy.
I would like to make it clear, Jamestown Train Depot and Train Depot are two separate companies, who only share a bit of office space. Jamestown Train Depot is an Online only store, while Train Depot is both an Online AND Brick and Mortar Store.
Train Depot is my local store and is still very much in business, available at 703-953-3767

First, let me say this isn't an indictment of the shop in this topic as I don't really know what took place or how they operate. This is just a general comment in response to this post.
Being a small vendor or part-time isn't an excuse for going silent when a buyer is trying to connect and, hopefully, buy something from you. If you are only open 3 days a week, leave a voicemail response that says so. If you are away on a family emergency, leave a message to say you'll be out and when you anticipate coming back. Really, regardless of the reason, just let people know, or risk the loss of a sale. That's just common business sense and common courtesy when you hold yourself out to be a seller. I mean, how hard is it to change a voicemail, post a notice to your website, or set up an auto-response for your email address? With so many buying options online, if you are part-time or indisposed, communicating with the customer base is the only way for you to protect yourself from the buyer just moving on to the next choice. It's a smart thing to do.
I didn't really read the original post as being selfish ("only person that matters") or even all that hostile ("lighten up"). I think you'd have to read into it to come to that conclusion, but that being said, as a buyer, all my transactions are selfish by definition. What else should they be? I'm buying for my own self-interest, not the store owners. This isn't to say that buying is a one way transaction as having a good relationship with a seller has key benefits, not to mention a more satisfying buying experience. Still, in the end, the customer is the one being served and good vendors always keep that in mind.
Fortunately, with all but one forum sponsor that I have bought from over the last few years, each has been very responsive to inquiries. For the one who wasn't, after giving them the benefit of the doubt with multiple emails (they don't accept phone calls), I moved on to "another source" as was suggested - good advice there.

The two business aren't associated, but rather share the same building space. Train Depot is a longtime brick and mortar hobby/train shop and is still very much in business! Call them at 703-953-3767 like he said
Jamestown Train Depot is purely online and is a completely separate company. Hope that helps!
