Hi all -

I'm new to the forum but like so many of you I come from a family of model railroad enthusiasts. Unfortunately, my family's house, along with thousands of others burned down in Altadena during the Eaton Fire this past January.

Among the many treasures lost were Standard Gauge streamliners my Grandpa, Jerry Brown, manufactured in the 60s, 70s and 80s in his garage. See the photo below of the City of Portland, City of Denver and Green Diamond out on display for reference. Posting to spread awareness and share the beautiful trains my grandpa built.

For more information on the trains themselves see the chapter on Jerry in the Arno Baars book "Not Your Daddy's Standard Gauge" or this TCA Western post - https://tcawestern.org/brown.htm.

Happy to share more either in the forum or by direct response.

Sorry about the loss of your house and the trains.

There are several serious MESG enthusiasts in Southern California.  I suggest checking the Standard Gauge groups on Facebook, as these folks are active there.  They don't spend as much time on the forum as they used to.

The Standard Gauge Module Association (SGMA) is very active and members have a lot of interest in Jerry Brown trains.

Just a heads up - it's possible that your post might be interpreted as a "want to buy" and get deleted by the moderators.
