I second that! RIP Mr. Lewis.

A legend and comedic genius. Love the Martin-Lewis movies, together they were some of the best movies of all time.

A sad time indeed with the passing of this comedy icon and telethon host but at least he was shared with mankind for 91 years. R.I.P.
Ironic that he would pass away right before the Telethon that he dedicated so much of his life to. RIP
He was an amazing comic and certainly had the perfect partner in Dean Martin. But to me it was his devotion to the Muscular Dystrophy telethon which really set him apart. Amazing to realize how much time and effort he devoted to that.

I loved him as a kid, and I loved him with our kids. I hope to find him on Netflix to share with our granddaughter.

We surely was one of the best, if not the best comics. Just saw an interview he gave where he was asked who he thought was the "new younger version" of Jerry Lewis was and he said without a doubt it was Robin Williams. Yet another big loss
RIP boys and thanks for the laughs.

Yes, and also a fine dramatic actor and director. For those who haven't seen it, check out "The King of Comedy" that also starred Robert De Niro. What a terrific, thoughtful, and provocative movie.
The type of slapstick humor that Jerry Lewis specialized in was a reflection of the times. He was a master of the art and it is seldom that we see this type of humor today. Lewis helped raise millions for Muscular Dystrophy and also used his fame and success to help society. The many movies that he made with Dean Martin are still as funny today as they were back then but like model trains there is little interest in them from the young generation. The memories of life that Lionel and Jerry Lewis left are from a bygone era.

His work with the Muscular Dystrophy Telethon will most likely never be repeated by anyone. You have to wonder if these folks ever realize how much laughter and joy they bring to others. Mrs Doubtfire to Awakenings to Night At The Museum Robin Williams was great. You can watch any John Candy film and laugh so hard you cry yet he never uses insulting humor to get the laughs. Any Aunts or Uncles not find something true in Uncle Buck?
Yes, one of the greatest "funny man" to ever be in pictures. Abbott and Costello, Dean Martin and Jerry Louis, The Marx Brothers, Bob Hope, all sincerely the best at what they did, and Yes, they created Fun for Everyone. Jerry Lewis will always be remembered for unselfish time given to many charities....What a Legacy.....Great Post....
Great guy, big laughs, even bigger heart. RIP Mr. Lewis.
