My hats off to you. The station came out supberb. I have a question though...I understand where you got your inspiration from but...why not use a more sturdier material rather than card stock? Even wood, styrene...any concerns with longevity or warping? I'm not taking anything away from you..no disrespect intended...just asking thats all.

Why card stock? Because it's what I had on-hand, and I wanted to try some old-fashioned modeling - as in before there was plastic. I've built wood and styrene structures from scratch in the past.
No, I'm not concerned with potential warpage. The sub structure is pretty robust. But if it were to warp, it would be a good excuse to build another station.
