I just found that under DCC section of CTI Trainbrain, TMCC is listed, so I give it a try and yes I can control a TMCC engine from my Dispatcher console. And I also check with RR& CO, same thing, that's means that I will now purchase only TMCC or Legacy engine. The only sad new is that for $ 300 you can have a MTH with PS2 or PS3 Lionel with TMCC or Legacy cost way more, Williams, you have to add TMCC. I don't need expensive engines as my layout is for operation, and frankly with my $ 1000 MTH park on the shelf because MTH don't have parts, I'm not in the mood to throw $ 1000 on engines anymore, so small Diesel will populate my layout.

I'm not sure I understand. I am not familiar with CTI Train Brain. I just did some quick reading and it sounds pretty cool. What do you mean by your " dispatcher console". Are you displaying your track layout on a monitor or lap top? I want to move forward with computerizing my layout. Any info you can offer is appreciated. I know this is a huge request and there are lots of details I'm sure. I'm looking for a brief post of what you do with it. Sorry for asking but it looks very interesting.
Yes I'm using a computer as a dispatcher console. For now It's nothing too much elaborate, I will take some pics tonight and start a tread , for now I can control the turnouts on the mainline ( for the few I have installed) , I have block detection that trigger the signals and of course it also change the color of the track segments on the panel, so I know witch track is occupy. Train Brain and RR&co give a way to run the train 100 % by the computer, it's not something I look for aside or may be for fun, what I want is a dispatcher that will control the mainline, my mainline is single with siding to make it more hard for the dispatcher. I also made a simple circuit to add indication of the points position on a turnout, so if some engineer leave them in throw position, the dispatcher will notice it and correct it.
Thanks PC-Quebec. Sounds like a sweet set up. I look forward to the new thread. I will be doing some research in the meantime
you do understand the even though you have control of a Legacy engine with TMCC unless you have a Legacy controller you are missing out on some of the legacy features.

Yes, that is a drawback. I run in conventional sometimes, TMCC sometimes and mostly Legacy and DCS.
You can find plenty of relatively inexpensive- and in mint condition- TMCC engines around. As low as $100. That's how I roll. I've never had an MTH or a Legacy engine and have no desire to own one of either.
Here is another piece of software that will operate TMCC by computer.

Interesting for run engine but is not as complete as RR&co and TB, all true the run function are more.
I contact the seller for know if we download it or he ship it after payment, as they are now shipping price for Canada.
